Christmas in Island Park-
We had Christmas with Cameron's family this year in island park and it was so fun and relaxing.
We took our tree up with us so that way we didn't have to go without a tree at the cabin. We made a paper chain and snowflakes to go on the tree and LaNona gave us each ornaments to go on the tree.
See the reindeer by the tree Cameron and I made that last year.
When we got to the cabin we were in charge of setting up and getting it warm for the rest of the family. When we were done we went went outside to go and play on the new sled that Santa brought early.
We discovered that Carson loves the snow but McKenna not so much. She didn't want to be put down not even in the sled, even if I was holding her and we weren't even moving. We still had so much FUN though. The boys in the family started to build a snow fort but it ended up being a tunnel. If you look really close you can see Cameron and McKenna through there.
Carson is decorating cookies to put out for Santa, he was in charge of putting the sprinkles on after grandma frosted it. Look how hard he is concentrating. He is so cute!
Here the kids are opening their Christmas eve pjs. Can you tell which is Carson and which is McKenna? (McKenna is the one with the longer blond hair.)
Carson got Buzz Lightyear Pjs. So handsome!
McKenna got her first nightgown. This is her Christmas morning, we didn't get any good pictures the night before. She got a stroller and a doll from Santa Claus.
We didn't get many pictures of the rest of the morning. My big gift from Cameron was a sewing machine. (Bobi I am going to need your help) Cameron got a pair of carhart (sp) coveralls to wear for work to keep him warm. We had so much fun while we were there. I didn't want to come home. Before we left we got a family picture outside on the deck. Isn't is beautiful?! This is only part of the view we have of the river from the cabin.
They made shirts for the whole family that says Gurr 2010. Weird, 2010 already!
Goofy picture!
Here are the kids with Grandma Gurr.
I hope everyone had as beautiful of a Christmas as we did. I am so grateful for my Savior for all he did for me and still continues to do . I love my family and I am excited to see how this next year with be for us.

So fun! we really need a cabin for our family to go party at. the view is awesome. the shirts are cute. it will be fun to get together and sew. we just have to do it now;) i got my sewing machine out today. i am wanting to make 2 more crayon rolls for the boys. I guess i should just make 3 then I won't have to make one for the baby. I guess it won't need it for a while, but I would be done;/
I was sad to hear you guys weren't coming down to utah. Since I have never met Cameron's wife I was hoping to meet you sometime. I did see some of your in-laws and cam's siblings. It looks like you guys had a great time up at the cabin though. Your kids are such cuties!! We are trying to plan a trip up to RExburg in Jan/Feb. My husband has a bro there and we have some friends and of course you guys are there. I would love to come visit you guys. I will let you know when we finalize our plans. Hopefully it will work out!! Happy New Year!
I want a cabin at Christmas!! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! And I would LOVE to get together and sew stuff! Just let me know when! Oh and BTW- you spelled Christmas wrong in your post title! Too funny! Love ya!
Thanks Bobi!
Oh, I miss Idaho... Looks like you had such a fun Christmas. I love Island Park! We have become a little whimpy here... It is amazing how quickly your body can acclimate to different weather. To answer your question...It has been down into the 40s in the evening, which feels cold to us now. We are dressed so warmly because we were sitting outside for an hour + for the Nativity and Temple Christmas programs. We don't usually wear our Winter coats to the store or to church, etc when its 40 degrees...not yet anyway! :)
Congrats on school. I can't imagine how hard that would be!
